The Museo delle Genti D’Abruzzo was born in May 1973 and traces the history of man in Abruzzo from his first appearance as a Paleolithic hunter, emphasizing the contribution offered by the Italic tribes to the affirmation of Rome, and a quick summary highlights how much of this past is is handed down to us in terms of customs, beliefs, places of worship, productions, objects, forms. In 1982 all the materials were donated to the Municipality of Pescara to form a single exhibition and research institution with the name of “Museum of the People of Abruzzo”.
